Head of Technical Security (f/m/d)

As the Head of Technical/Cyber Security (f/m/d), you will be responsible for overseeing our organization's technical security strategy, implementation, and maintenance of security systems. You will lead a team of security professionals, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure that our security practices comply with industry standards. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing robust security measures to protect our assets. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in technical security.

Tasks

• Develop and implement a comprehensive technical security strategy aligned with the company’s objectives.
• Lead and mentor a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.
• Oversee the implementation of security technologies, including SIEM, vulnerability management and Threat Intelligence.
• Collaborate with operations and development teams to comply with industry best practices (ISO 27001) and governmental requirements (KRITIS, NIS2).
• Take a leading role in security incident management and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

The basis for this challenging position is in-depth experience in the field of information security paired with leadership experience. You know how to motivate and develop a team of skilled hackers and act as a true leader. Strong problem-solving skills, good English skills, quality awareness, personal responsibility and the ability to work in a global team round off your profile.

• Proven experience (5+ years) in technical security roles, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, best practices, and technologies.
• Experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, threat intelligence and vulnerability management solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders up to board level.
