WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
We in Agricultural Solutions are preparing to be an independent, pure-play agricultural company within BASF group. To be ready for independence, we are looking for you to join us in our new Corporate roles (see here: build your career on our Standalone Transformation).
- In your new role, you manage foreign exchange (FX) and short-term trading activities across the organization, ensuring that AP Group's net demand for FX and financing products is placed under economically optimized conditions.
- You act as the interface to external financial markets, oversee deal execution with a broad network of banking partners, and contribute to scalable, analytics-driven trading strategies.
- Your role also includes consolidating and netting FX trading demands, applying market expertise under uncertainty, leveraging substantial trading volumes, and continuously enhancing trading governance, analytics, and quant-based decision-making frameworks.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- degree in business administration, finance, economics, mathematics, or a comparable qualification as well as strong background in FX trading, treasury, financial markets, or corporate finance
- deep understanding of FX products, money market instruments, and market microstructure; experience with trading platforms and automation tools (e.g., 360T, SAP TRM) is an advantage
- ability to assess and optimize trade execution timing, pricing, and settlement practices interacting with external banking partners and managing competitive bidding processes
- proven digital and AI focus with the ability to leverage modern technologies and data-driven approaches to enhance efficiency and quality
- high analytical skills with an interest in quantitative models and data-driven trading approaches
- strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across Treasury, Controlling, and other functions as well as proactive mindset, strong ownership, and ability to perform under uncertainty
- excellent English skills, both written and spoken
